Online Vote Check Through SMS by ECP

 As a first step for pakistan election 2013 ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan has strated a SMS service in these days

Short Message Service (SMS) is started to facilitate the votters of country to see their
vote registration and related information to cast vote.

According to an ECP official, the service could be used by sending the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number on 8300.

In reply ECP sends

CNIC number

electoral area

block code,

Tehsil/District and Serial Number.

So now it is very easy to check your vote anytime and anywhere, from across Pakistan.

G.Ebrahim present election commissioner of pakistan said that no one would be able to vote without a

computerised national identity card, adding that, the minimum voting age was 18 years.

He further said that 84360000 voters had been registered and that the ECP was working in collaboration

with the Nadra for this purpose
