a)         i)          MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized by the PMDC  and the following postgraduate qualifications in the subject:-

SR. NO. 146.     (CASE NO.170-RC/2012) RECRUITMENT TO (01) ONE REGULAR POSTOF PROFESSOR OF BIOCHEMISTRY.                           

QUALIFICATION:         
a)         i)          MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized by the PMDC and the following postgraduate qualifications in the subject:-
                        D.Sc., Ph.D., M.Phil (Pak) or equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMDC.

SR. NO. 147.     (CASE NO.172-RC/2012) RECRUITMENT TO (05) FIVE REGULAR POSTS OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ANAESTHESIA.          

QUALIFICATION:         
a)         i)          MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the postgraduate qualification of FCPS/ MS/ FRCS/ MRCP/ MD/ Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty recognized by PMDC.

b)                     05 years teaching experience in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor or equivalent position recognized by PMDC with atleast03 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.

SR. NO. 148.     (CASE NO.180-RC/2012) RECRUITMENT TO (03) THREE REGULAR POSTS OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE.    

QUALIFICATION:         
i)          MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized by the PMDC and the following postgraduate qualifications in the subject:-
            D.Sc., Ph.D., M.D., M.Phil (Pak) or equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMDC.
Credit will be given for original research work published in a standard medical journal and teaching experience in recognized institution and          
            05 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in    the subject in recognized institution and atleast03 research papers published in standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.

(ii)         If none with above qualifications is available then:-
            Post-graduate Minor Diploma in the subject recognized by the PMDC and 03 years teaching experience as             demonstrator:
Credit will be given for original research work published in a standard medical journal and 07 years experience as Assistant Professor, and atleast 05 research papers published in standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.

f)          In case of Government Servant, the Departmental Permission Certificate (available on PPSC website) duly signed/stamped by the competent authority of concerned Department.
g)         Experience Certificate (Specimen available on website) issued from competent authority.
h)         Valid C.N.I.C.
i)          Disability certificate, if “Yes” in Column 20 of Online Application Form has been ticked.

Important Note: Only eligible candidates will be called for interview / viva voce provisionally after detailed scrutiny of applications of candidates. If any candidate is found ineligible in any respect under rules, his/her application will be rejected. PUNJAB POLICE  DEPARTMENT

SR. NO. 152.     (CASE NO.12-EX/2012) RECRUITMENT TO 376 POSTS (INCLUDING 5%QUOTA, 19 POSTS RESERVED FOR MINORITIES) ON TEMPORARY LIKELY TO BE MADE PERMANENT BASIS OF INSPECTOR LEGAL (SPECIALIST CADRE) (BS-16) ON OPEN MERIT.

NOTE:              After recruitment no Inspector (Legal) shall be allowed change of cadre from Inspector (Legal) to the executive or any other branch in the Police Department.

QUALIFICATION: Law graduate from a recognized University.
PAY:                 BS-16
AGE:
i)                      18 to 32 years for general public on  15-10-2012.
ii)                      18 to 35 years for in service candidate from the Police Department as per clause 3-C of PR, 12.6.

IMPORTANT NOTE:      No relaxation in age, education or physical standard shall be allowed. {Punjab Civil servants recruitment (relaxation in upper age limit), Rules 1976 are not applicable in Police Department}

SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN TEST:
“A written examination of Graduate/Law Graduate level comprising of the following papers will be conducted:


The question paper may be descriptive (Subjective) type or multiple choice questions (MCQ / Objective) type or a combination of both.  0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQ type papers.

NOTE:
 i)         The candidates who qualify in the examination and are recommended for appointment will have to appear for such medical examination and meet such conditions of appointment, other than the above, as are prescribed by the Government.
ii)          Recruitment to the posts of Inspector Legal is governed by the Punjab Police Service Rules, 1934. The conditions of eligibility other than those mentioned above shall be regulated by these Rules.

Number of Chances: Only 03 (three) chances are allowed to a candidate to appear in the written examination / test for the posts of Inspector Legal (Specialist Cadre) (BS-16).

IMPORTANT NOTES (For Sr. No. 149 to 152 only)
i)          Schedule of written examination will be uploaded on the Commission's website. (For Sr. No.152)
ii)          In case a large number of applications are received, one    paper MCQ type written test of 100 marks relating to prescribed qualification and job description of the post will be conducted to shortlist the candidates. (For Sr. No.149 to 151)
iii)         Details will be given on PPSC website from where candidates can download their roll numbers and information about date, time and venues. No candidate will be informed about the date of Written Test individually.
            The candidates should remain in touch with the Punjab Public Service Commission Office or visit the Commission's Website www.ppsc.gop.pkfor further information.
iv)         For all those posts where written test is to be held, it will most likely be held after two weeks of closing date.
v)          Candidates will be admitted to the written test/examination (if held) provisionally. On detailed scrutiny of applications of candidates declared successful in written test/ examination, if any candidate is found ineligible in any respect under rules, his/her candidature will be cancelled regardless of the fact whether he/she appeared in the written test/examination or qualified therein. To avoid frustration, candidates are advised in their own interest to make sure before applying that they fulfill all the requirements of the rules and selection criteria as advertised relating to the post before the closing date.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.         Applicants are required to submit ONLINE  Application Forms by the closing date which is 15-10-2012 upto 3:00 pm. Candidates should fill the ON-LINE Form carefully for which detailed Guidelines and Instructions have been given on Punjab Public Service Commission's website: www.ppsc.gop.pk. Editing options, to correct any data, will be available to the candidates till 3:00 p.m. (Office closing time) of last date of submission of online applications.

2.         Original Treasury receipt of Rs.300/- for Sr. No. 145, 146, 147, 148, Rs: 400/- for Sr. No. 149, 150, 151 and 700/- for Sr. No.152  under head: “C02101-ORGANIZATIONS OF STATE-EXAMINATION FEE REALIZED BY THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION”, will be deposited in any branch of State Bank of Pakistan or National Bank of Pakistan or Government Treasury and receipt number will be mentioned in the Online application form. Original receipt will be produced at the time of written test, interview / viva voce without which candidates will not be allowed to appear in the test, interview / viva voce. Original receipt will be retained by PPSC staff, for record purposes.

3.         HARD COPY of ON-LINE Application Form is not needed. (For Sr. No. 149 to 152).

4.         Correspondence with candidates will be done through e-mail. Candidates are advised to mention their e-mail addresses in the ON-LINE Application Form. Those who do not have e-mail addresses are advised to create e-mail account immediately.

5.         Schedule of interviews/viva voce for the said posts will be uploaded on the Commission's website from where candidates can download their Call-up-         letter and information about date, time and venue of interview. No candidate will be informed about the date of interview individually. The candidates should remain in touch with the Punjab Public Service commission office or visit the Commission's Website www.ppsc.gop.pk for further information.

6.         The number of posts may be increased or decreased by the competent authority only if no date for written examination is fixed and in case when selection is made only on the basis of viva voce/interview, before a date for viva voce /             interview has been fixed.

7.         Candidates presently living/residing abroad and having Punjab Domicile may also apply.

8.         In case of disabled person, Column 20 of Online Application Form should be filled in mentioning “Yes” or “No”. If the candidate is disabled, he/she will have to submit a certificate from Provincial Council for rehabilitation of disabled persons of Social Welfare Department. (S.# 146)

9.         Following documents in original along with a set of photocopy will be required, if called for  interview/viva voce: (For Sr. No.149, 150, 151 & 152).

            a)         Treasury receipt of fee deposited, or (photocopy; in case original handed over to PPSC Staff at the time of written test).

            b)         Matriculation Certificate, showing date of birth and in case of 'O' Level, equivalent certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad and date of birth given in school leaving certificate.

            c)         Intermediate Certificate/ 'A' level along with certificate of equivalent qualification.

            d)         Certificate of D.A.E.

            e)         Bachelor’s degrees / detailed marks of relevant academic certificates.

            g)         LL.M / Bar-at-Law / LL.B degree / Detailed Marks of relevant certificates.

            h)         Domicile certificate of relevant district of Province of Punjab issued on or before the closing date.
